you know what it feels like to be the only one who still cares

and nobody around you is saying it out loud. so you keep it to yourself, and it just sits there, and you don't even know what to do with it anymore — it just is.

most songs are written after it's all figured out. processed, polished, delivered neat. that's not what this is.

the feeling doesn't go anywhere just because you don't talk about it. it stays in the car, in the song you can't skip, in the three seconds before you fall asleep. you already know this.
